After two lost seasons .. Saqlawi announces the support of Al -Riji for the southern farmers

Engineer Nassif Saqlawi, General Manager of Al -Riji Company, received a delegation from the “Sons of the Southern Border towns”, to discuss the suffering of farmers and their urgent demands after losing two consecutive agricultural seasons due to the war and the deterioration of economic conditions.
During the meeting, Saqlawi stressed his full response to the demands of farmers, explaining that the Rijai administration did not cancel any license that was not planted due to the war, but rather provided cash assistance for every kilogram of smoke for each farmer, including those who were not planted, based on the delivery schedules before the war. Saqlawi also added that the company provided additional cash support for every kilo of tobacco, and in -kind and pharmaceutical assistance to municipalities and farmers, especially in the villages of Al -Hudah, with a commitment to take into account the status of border farmers in the pricing mechanism. The administration is to grant new licenses to every farmer that actually proves its practice of agriculture on its soil, adding that the project to enter the tobacco farmers in social security is seriously worked on and directed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nabih Berri and in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the relevant departments.
