Today, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) issued the new world rankings for national teams for the month of October 2026, which resulted in the presence of five Arab teams in the list of the top ten teams on the Asian continent.
At the continental summit level, the Japanese team continued its dominance, maintaining the lead in the continent and seventeenth place in the world with 1,684.75 points. The Iranian team ranked second (23rd in the world), despite its decline, followed by the Australian team in third place in Asia and twenty-sixth in the world, then South Korea in fourth place on the continent and thirty-second in the world.
On the Arab level, the Saudi team took the top spot on the Arab-Asian list, achieving an advance of three places to reach the fifth and fifth place in the world, benefiting from being crowned champion of the Gulf Cup Championship “Gulf 27”.
The loyalist centers witnessed an intense Arab presence. The Qatari team came in sixtieth place globally, followed by the Iraqi team in sixty-third place, then the UAE in sixty-fifth place, while the Jordanian team concluded the list of the top ten on the continent by occupying seventy-second place in the world.
The following is the official ranking of the ten best teams in Asia according to the FIFA classification:

On the other hand, the rankings witnessed the Sultanate of Oman’s national team falling two places to stabilize at eighty-first in the world, which led to its official exit from the list of the ten best teams in the Asian continent.
