Makhzoumi: ignoring the role of alienation, neglecting a national and economic pillar

Representative Fouad Makhzoumi wrote through his account on the “X” platform:

We regret that, at its session today, the government did not take the decisive decision to pass the alienation vote for 128 deputies, and referred the file to the House of Representatives. This delay devotes the distinction between the resident Lebanon and the expatriate Lebanon, and marginalizes the role of the Lebanese alienation, which is a basic national and economic pillar. We also condemn the continued procrastination in the creation of the megasinter, which is a necessary step to ensure the integrity and fairness of the electoral process for all Lebanese, inside and outside Lebanon. We are warned of any attempts or maneuvers to postpone the public elections for the year 2026, this is a constitutional and patriotic entitlement that no one has the right to manipulate it. Any attempt to deprive the Lebanese of their democratic right will face a broad popular and political rejection.
