Mourinho describes Mbappe's behavior as..."The ridiculous"

Portuguese Jose Mourinho, coach of Real Madrid, confirmed that the team is in a state of complete professional commitment, during the press conference held today in the “Valdebebas” sports city, to talk about the expected confrontation against Villarreal tomorrow evening, Saturday, in the Spanish League competitions, in his first appearance before the media after an absence that lasted 18 days.

The 63-year-old coach criticized what he described as the media’s constant efforts to fabricate and exaggerate unreal crises, citing the controversy that arose about some players appearing in entertainment places or using bicycles during their vacations.

Regarding the controversy surrounding Frenchman Kylian Mbappe after he suffered from knee pain following his international participation and appearance on a bicycle, Mourinho said sarcastically: “If there is a trial for Mbappe, that will be a great victory for you (the journalists).”

He added: “I thought in recent weeks that you had enough issues to talk about, but it seems that was not enough. Real Madrid is Real Madrid, and you always have to find something.”

Mourinho described the entire Mbappe case as “ridiculous,” explaining that the player is responsible for his actions around the clock, and stressing that players are human beings who can make mistakes but must be responsible. Regarding the condition of injured players, he said: “Every player who is injured comes to Valdebebas immediately and undergoes the necessary tests daily.” He added that Mbappe went for external medical consultation regarding his knee due to his injury history, confirming that there was complete agreement between the club’s diagnosis and the external diagnosis.

The Portuguese coach revealed that he was the one who gave the player Arda Guler two additional days of rest after he was released from international participation, praising the commitment of Real Madrid players throughout the past period and their professional performance of their duties with their national teams.

Mourinho concluded his statements by saying: “Instead of talking about football, you went looking for other problems, such as the story of the nightclub that was turned into a venue for Fashion Week in Paris, or the hotel in Switzerland where there are two bicycles for transportation. This is the first time in 10 years that not a single injury has occurred in two months, and all the current injuries go back to last year, and this is a good story, but you do not like to talk about it.”
