It will contribute at 50 billion dollars in GDP

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed that the “Aquio” nuclear station, which is adopted by the Russian “Rosatom” Foundation, will contribute at 50 billion dollars in the GDP of Turkey.

Erdogan said after the government meeting in Ankara: “Aquio” nuclear station, Turkey will be rid of importing 7 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually. Energy has Russian VVR-1200 generation 3+ reactors, with a capacity of 1200 megawatts for each of them. After operation, the station is planned to produce about 35 billion kilowatt hours annually, and the station will cover up to 10% of Türkiye’s electricity needs.
