Spanish journalist Bernabeu criticized the current situation of Real Madrid, pointing out that the team, which has long been known for the slogan “It does not play, it only wins,” is now suffering both in terms of level and results.
Bernabeu explained that the crisis is not limited to the technical staff only, but extends to sports management and planning for the future. The club failed to compensate for the departure of the midfield pillars, specifically German Toni Kroos and Croatian Luka Modric. He added that the administration had not resolved the issue of contracting with a player to replace the role that Spaniard Rodri could have played, in addition to not showing sufficient completion of the Portuguese Bernardo Silva deal.
In a related context, the journalist launched a sharp attack on Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, describing him as an “outdated coach,” citing his absence from the podium in local league championships for 11 years, which is the same argument that he used previously to oppose the idea of his possible return to the “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium.
