Sirens sounded today, Monday, in the Al-Malikiyah area in the Upper Galilee, amid initial fears of rocket launches, before the Israeli army later announced that the warning resulted from a wrong diagnosis.
The Israeli Home Front had announced the activation of sirens in the area, coinciding with Israeli media reporting that the details of the incident were being examined. Later, the Israeli army resolved the circumstances, confirming in a statement that “the alarm that sounded in the Al-Malikiyah area a short while ago turned out to be a false alarm.”
This incident comes in light of escalating security tension on the Lebanese-Israeli border, following the Israeli army’s earlier announcement of attacking the party’s infrastructure in southern Lebanon, in response to the detonation of an explosive device in the security zone.
