The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Firas Al -Abyad, affirmed on his site on the “X” platform on the anniversary of the Baqar attack last year, “That day remains a supervisor of the health sector, which absorbed the shock and recorded in the history of the homeland a station of effort, sacrifice and patriotism.”
Al -Abyad said: “The seventeenth of September last year remains an honorable day for the health sector in Lebanon with all its doctors, nurses, workers, paramedics, volunteers and hospitals: they are unlike all the expectations of failure and collapse under the size of the large numbers of the wounded and the injured, they were able, with their good preparation and training in the ministry’s plan, their professionalism, their association, their giving, and their sacrifice, In the history of our homeland, they are registered in the history of our homeland. With the various components of the sector, among the emergency room plan in anticipation of the war, it gave its fruits in the difficult time: it was provided for the initiative that enabled the first shock, the injured were distributed to more than 90 hospitals, in a coordination process in which more than 1100 ambulances participated, at a time when more than 80% of the injured needed surgeries in a very large percentage in such cases.
