A judicial -security delegation visited the two judges, Claude Ghanem, Mona Hanqir, and two officers from the army and public security, Damascus, yesterday to discuss with their Syrian counterparts in the file of the Islamic detainees who are demanding Damascus to receive them.
Al -Akhbar wrote: Sources in the General Directorate of Public Security said that about 50 thousand Syrians who are displaced people in Lebanon have returned to Syria as part of the autonomous voluntary return program launched by the High Commissioner for Displaced Affairs, which provides a single cash grant to facilitate the voluntary return through the official border crossings. The sources added that more than 80,000 registered their names to return after the General Security for administrative facilitation measures for those wishing to return to Syria between July 1 and September 30, 2025, noting that the number of returnees by the end of this month will reach 130 thousand, or about 10 of the registrants as displaced. The sources estimated that the number of returnees by the end of the year reached about 500 thousand, noting that more than 200,000 non -registered with the commissioner have already returned to Syria since the beginning of this year.
