The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, opened “EXPERIA EXPO”, the first interactive innovation exhibition in Lebanon, stressing in a message bearing the character of betting on technology and innovation for the path of advancement, the country’s ability to keep pace with accelerating scientific transformations, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence and modern technologies.
During the opening ceremony, President Aoun stressed that Lebanon continues to maintain an advanced position in following up on scientific and technological developments, considering that progress in this sector is no longer a luxury, but has become an essential foundation for building modern societies and enhancing their competitiveness.
In his speech, Aoun warned of countries lagging behind in digital development, saying: “Societies that do not accompany development are rejected by history,” stressing the need to keep pace with technological transformations and not remain on the sidelines of the path of global development.
The President of the Republic pointed out the pivotal role that distinguished Lebanese competencies abroad can play in the process of the nation’s advancement, stressing that the Lebanese innovator in various international fields is able to contribute effectively to the development of his country and restore its leadership role.
The organization of “EXPERIA EXPO” comes at a time when there is an increase in global interest in artificial intelligence and digital innovation, while Lebanon seeks to re-establish its position in the technology and entrepreneurship sectors, investing in its human energies and competencies, both residents and expatriates.
The exhibition is of exceptional importance as it is the first interactive event of its kind for innovation on Lebanese soil, as it represents a vital platform for showcasing the latest programmes, technologies and applications related to digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
