A swimming trip off the Casino du Liban beach this afternoon turned into a human tragedy after a 21-year-old Syrian man drowned, while search and rescue efforts continue to recover his body.
In the details of the incident, the Syrian young man, Muhammad A., was exposed to… H. (21 years old) drowned while practicing swimming in the aforementioned area.
Immediately, the concerned authorities received a report about the incident, and members of the Civil Defense Marine Rescue Unit arrived at the scene, where they began extensive water surveys in search of the missing young man.
Search and rescue work is still ongoing at the site at the moment in an attempt to find the body.
