A person was injured by bullets in his feet, today, as a result of being exposed to gunfire in the quarantine area in the old Sunday market in the city of Tripoli, by gunmen who managed to escape to an unknown destination, according to what was reported by the “Lebanon Debate” correspondent.
The injured person, whose identity symbol is limited to the letters “TA,” was transferred to one of the city’s hospitals to receive the necessary treatment, at a time when the background or underlying causes of the accident are not yet known.
This incident comes a few hours after a similar security incident took place in the same area last night, which resulted in two people being injured by gunshots, which re-highlights the ongoing state of security tension in the Old Sunday Market area.
The circumstances of the incident are still under security investigation, awaiting the results of official investigations to reveal the identity of the shooters and determine their motives.
