Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Yousef Raji received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sheikh Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, during which he congratulated him on the framework agreement concluded between Lebanon and Israel under American auspices.
Al-Zayani expressed his hope that this agreement will form a foundation for the stability that the Lebanese people seek, and that it will restore the state’s full sovereignty over its lands.
For his part, Minister Raji expressed to his Bahraini counterpart his sincere thanks and appreciation for these wishes, and for Bahraini’s steadfast stand by Lebanon in all circumstances.
The contact comes in the wake of the announcement of the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel under American sponsorship, and after a series of diplomatic positions and contacts that accompanied this development, amid an official Lebanese affirmation of its commitment to restoring full sovereignty over Lebanese territory, and continuing to work through official and diplomatic channels to follow up on the implementation of what was agreed upon.
