Today, Beirut Port Management and Investment witnessed the elections of the Executive Council of the Port Workers and Employees Union, which were held in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Labor. The electoral process resulted in the victory of the entire “Port Family” list.
The winning list includes the following names: Abeer Mahio, Kawthar Shoman, Abdullah Akkad, Jean Raffoul, Rola Suleiman, Philippe Atallah, Samir Askar, Khalil Zuaiter, Roy Lowndes, Ghassan Harsh, Mazen Mazboudi, and Ziad Hajj Hassan.
Following the announcement of the results, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General, Marawan Al-Nafi, received the members of the new Executive Council, offering them congratulations and wishing them success in their future union duties.
During the meeting, Al-Nafi stressed that “the union and management are one body when the goal is one, which is to develop management and develop employees,” stressing at the same time his full support for the union and his keenness to adopt all ideas and proposals that contribute to developing work and improving the overall performance of the port.
