The head of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Tripoli and the North, Tawfiq Dabboussi, with a delegation from the joint committees concerned with following up on the file of Martyr President Rene Moawad Airport (Qlayaat), reviewed the field plans and infrastructure developments aimed at charting the course of the actual operation of the airport.

The attendees discussed the executive path led by Sky Lounge Company to rehabilitate technical equipment, in addition to strategies for attracting and training human competencies.

During the meeting, Dabboussi stressed the strategic dimensions of the project, considering that the operation of the airport and its integration with the railway project lay the foundation for an integrated logistics system starting from “Greater Tripoli” to stimulate investment and secure job opportunities that advance the north and the national economy.

In turn, member of the joint committees, Hamid Zakaria, revealed the features of the operational plan, explaining that it is based on a first phase extending for four years, and adopts a gradual operation formula to keep pace with the growth of air traffic, leading to transforming the facility into an integrated platform for shipping and logistics services.
