Today, southern Lebanon witnessed a massive field escalation, represented by air strikes, artillery shelling, and a limited ground incursion, in conjunction with intense flights of military and drone aircraft over various villages and towns, recording an extension of the targeting from the Nabatieh region all the way to the central and eastern sectors.
In the details of the field, the correspondent of the “Lebanon Debate” website reported that an Israeli drone launched a raid targeting the area between the towns of Kafr Tibnit and Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, which was preceded by a wave of artillery shelling that focused since the early hours of the morning on Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, Al-Mansouri, Wadi Zebqin, the vicinity of Majdal Zoun, and Wadi Al-Hujair.
The bombing circle later expanded to include Wadi al-Saluki, the outskirts of the town of Hula, and the outskirts of the towns of Beit Lev and Zawtar al-Sharqiya, at a time when military and drone aircraft continued their intense, low-level flights in the airspace of the south and its various sectors.
On the ground incursion line, an Israeli patrol in the outskirts of the town of Kfar Shuba made an incursion towards the locality of Sadana, where it surrounded a farm containing a number of shepherds, coinciding with intense gunfire and the fall of artillery shells around the area. In the town of Khiam, the Israeli army burned homes in the Dardara locality on the western outskirts of the town.
In parallel with these security developments, the Lebanese Army began the work of opening the road leading from the town of Toulin towards the town of Burj Qallawiyah to secure traffic.
This tense field day confirms the expansion of Israeli military operations in the south, which included, in addition to intense air and artillery bombardment, unusual air activity and a ground incursion into the outskirts of Kafr Shuba.
