Machines depriving the Lebanese of sleep .. and appeals to intervene

The mountainous villages in Lebanon are witnessing an escalating wave of discontent as a result of the use of illegal sound machines and sounding machinery known as (Outdoor Device Hunting E-Caller) that attract birds during the night. These devices, which are placed in high and difficult areas, make strong sounds similar to bird calls and last for long hours, which deprives people of sleep and violates the ecosystem in their vicinity.

A number of residents of the mountainous villages confirmed that the phenomenon is repeated on a daily basis, especially with the start of the fishing season, as the fishermen focus these devices in the mountains away from control, and in rugged places that are difficult to reach. The people called on the competent authorities to urgently intervene to put an end to these illegal practices, and to pursue those who carry out them, in order to preserve the public tranquility and the wildlife that has become increasingly threatened.
