Occupied Jerusalem – Today, the Israeli army announced that an officer was killed and three other soldiers were injured with varying injuries, after the military vehicle they were carrying overturned during field operations in southern Lebanon, in an accident that the Minister of Defense described as “dangerous.”
The military spokesman explained that the accident resulted in the death of Captain Eliav Haim Tsvalmos, a combat officer in the 7th Brigade, indicating that the injured were transferred to receive the necessary treatment, without revealing further details regarding the circumstances of the accident or its exact location.
In the first official comment, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz expressed his deep condolences to the family of the slain officer, stressing his solidarity with his comrades and commanders, and his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured soldiers, in a post on the “X” platform.
This incident comes in light of escalating field tension on the southern front, coinciding with the continuation of Israeli military operations and movements inside Lebanese territory, and the accompanying sporadic security incidents along the border strip.
