The Maronite General Council: Mercy for the Martyr President.


The Maronite General Council, headed by Michel Matta, recalled, on the 43rd anniversary of the martyrdom of the martyr president.

He said in a statement: “Bashir Al -Gemayel was not a passing moment in the history of Lebanon. Rather, a milestone remained in political life, a symbol of free decision and full sovereignty, and responsible for placing the public interest above all considerations.”
In this context, the Maronite General Council highly valued the comprehensive national position announced by His Excellency the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, where he put the consultation of President Bashir Gemayel in its real context, “as an attempt to silence the voice of the Lebanese dream and not only the absence of the president.”
And when the Council saw this anniversary to renew the fulfillment of the issue of the martyr president, and to confirm that Lebanon, which dreamed of remaining in us, stressed “the importance of converting this anniversary into a conscious and responsibility station, reminds the Lebanese of the paid for the sake of the establishment of a real state, which is not alternative to it.”
He concluded: “Mercy for the martyr president.
