The number of victims of the drowning accident in the Abu Talat area in Alexandria Governorate increased to 28 injured, according to Egyptian press reports in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The tragic accident that took place on Saturday morning, resulted in the sinking of 6 people from the students of an air hospitality, while the initial outcome of the injured reached 24. A statement to the Alexandria Governorate indicated that the accident occurred despite the raising of the red flag that prohibits swimming due to the high waves, stressing that a decision was generalized to prevent sea water to go to all beaches of the western sector in the governorate. Beaches, especially during mass trips, in order to preserve lives and avoid the occurrence of such painful incidents. Saturday, the governor of Alexandria, Ahmed Khaled, visited the injured in the hospital, to check on their health condition and ensure that they received the necessary medical care.
