About printing a new currency .. This is what the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria revealed

“We do not expect any negative repercussions on the value of the national currency due to the plan to issue a new currency,” said the governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Abdel Fader, exclusive.

He pointed out that “the first stage of launching the new currency includes its gradual circulation alongside the current groups.”
He continued exclusive: “In the second stage, the switch will begin between the current and the new currency, then the switch will be exclusively by the central bank in the third stage.”
He pointed out that “the new banknotes will be printed with two or three reliable international sources.”
He said: “The issuance of the new currency is not related to the increase in the monetary mass in the market, but rather it aims to improve the management of cash circulation.”
He added: “Our goal is to protect the purchasing power of the lira and enable the financial sector to support growth and stability.”
