Lebanese regions witnessed a festive atmosphere after Brazil’s victory over Japan in the round of 32, as fans took to the streets and cafes and squares were filled with yellow and green colors.
The story did not stop at one match. Brazilian media outlets and social media influencers paid attention to these scenes, linking this passion to the historical relationship between the two countries and the size of the Lebanese community in Brazil.
They insisted on conveying a picture of what is happening in Lebanon through their websites and personal pages, out of pride in what Brazil has achieved globally, and in praise of the love of non-Brazilian audiences.
