Moroccan national team captain Achraf Hakimi continued to send messages of confidence to the Atlas Lions fans, after his country qualified for the round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Moroccan team reserved its place in the 16th final after defeating its Dutch counterpart on penalties, following a strong confrontation in the round of 32.

After the match, Hakimi posted a group of photos on his account on the “X” platform, and accompanied them with a brief comment that said: “We are not finished yet.”

Despite his outstanding performance during the match, Hakimi missed one of the penalty kicks, but this did not affect the final result, after Morocco succeeded in clinching the qualification ticket.

The Moroccan national team is scheduled to meet its Canadian counterpart in the round of 16, on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
