The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned, in the strongest terms, the targeting of King Fahd International Airport in the city of Dammam, which resulted in the killing of two civilians, affirming Lebanon’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the face of any attack that affects its security and sovereignty.
The Ministry considered, in a statement issued by it, that targeting vital installations and civilian gatherings constitutes a “flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the rules of international humanitarian law.”
The Foreign Ministry stressed Lebanon’s categorical rejection and denunciation of any violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, reiterating that Beirut stands alongside Riyadh in confronting the attacks targeting its civilian and vital facilities, and considering that compromising the Kingdom’s security and stability is a red line that is rejected and condemned in its entirety.
