The attendees issued a statement, in which they called on the Ministry of Finance to “include the draft salary and wages reform law, as requested by the Council of Ministers in the session held on February 16, 2026, in a way that restores salaries to their true value before the year 2019, and to include this project in the budget figures before it is decided.”
They announced that the Cabinet session will be “prevented from convening, and Beirut’s roads will be completely closed, starting tomorrow morning, Wednesday, until the demands are met.” They decided to “gradually use all pressure methods in accordance with the established plans,” and called on veterans, their families, the families of the martyrs, the families of military personnel in active service, and public sector employees to “intensely participate in the movements.”
They concluded by declaring their support for “the statement of public sector employees, both civilian and military, issued on 9/7/2026 regarding its legal and legal claims.”
