The Lebanese basketball team achieved a landslide victory over its Indian counterpart, with a score of (99-56), in the postponed match from the “second window” of the fourth group in the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar.
The match, which was held at the Nihad Nofal Complex Stadium, witnessed absolute Lebanese control, as coach Ahmed Farran fielded all his players and they all succeeded in scoring, the best of whom were Hayek Kokjian and Jihad Al-Khatib with 16 points each. Thus, Lebanon maintained its lead in the group with three wins and a loss, while Saudi Arabia beat Qatar (86-80) within the same group.
