Gharios is in legal and public trouble after the MTV episode and the BetArabia platform is at the forefront of the storm

Beirut –

The union of workers and users of gambling games at Casino du Liban issued an escalatory statement in response to what was reported on the “Time Has Come” program on MTV, directing a direct question to Jad Gharios about the capacity that authorizes him to speak on behalf of the “BetArabia” platform.

The syndicate confirmed in its statement that the “OSS” company, represented by Gharios, does not have any legal capacity to authorize it to speak on behalf of the platform, stressing that the platform belongs exclusively to Casino du Liban as it is the institution that granted it legitimacy, cover and credibility, a reality that cannot be overlooked in any media debate.

The union demanded that Gharios present any official evidence clarifying his right to represent the platform before public opinion, noting that this situation raises fundamental questions about the party that owns the platform’s decisions, and the party responsible for its management and operation, as well as the legal basis for “OSS” to speak on its behalf.

The statement pointed out that this issue is closely linked to a long-established institution and the rights of employees, recalling that casino workers endured reductions in their wages amounting to 43.20% in order to prevent the closure of the institution and maintain its continuity, stressing their categorical refusal to turn their sacrifices into a subject for debate or reduce the institution’s role in favor of an intermediary company.

The Syndicate also stopped short of warning against attempts to exploit the law and provide politicized interpretations that serve special interests, calling on Gad Gharios to provide a satisfactory clarification to public opinion that clearly defines the boundaries between the powers of the “OSS” company and the responsibilities of Casino du Liban.

The union concluded by emphasizing that the rights of employees and the status of Casino du Liban are a red line that cannot be crossed, considering that any desire to speak on behalf of the “BetArabia” platform first requires highlighting the official legal status, to avoid any confusion and to avoid leaving workers facing legitimate questions without answers.
