Bitcoin breaks the $76,000 barrier and regains its market gains

Bitcoin regained its upward trajectory and traded near $76,000, after a violent selling wave that hit the market for cryptocurrencies and high-risk assets.

Previous declines were influenced by disappointing earnings results for chip manufacturers, as well as the results of the US Congressional elections, which witnessed a sweep from the Democratic Party. The currency had fallen by about 6 percent the previous day, falling from levels exceeding $80,000, before compensating for part of its losses and trading at about $76,000 this morning in New York.

On the same level, smaller cryptocurrencies recorded collective gains today, as “BNB,” “ZCash,” and “HYPE” currencies rose by rates ranging between 1 and 3 percent.

In this context, Bloomberg quoted an analyst specializing in the cryptocurrency market, Dean Chen, as saying that “Bitcoin” appears to be experiencing a breathing space after the sharp wave of selling that occurred yesterday. Chen expressed his reservations about describing this rebound as a complete shift in direction so far, noting that the current movement represents a decline in selling pressures and not the beginning of new purchasing accumulation operations.
