The Durrus Division in the “Hezbollah” sector in the city of Baalbek commemorated the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the party’s former Secretary-Generals, Mr. Hassan Nasrallah and Mr. Hashem Safi al-Din, in a popular and official celebration held in the Husseiniya of the town of Al-Khader in Durrus.
The celebration was sponsored by a member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc, Representative Ali Al-Miqdad, in the presence of a crowd of political, religious, municipal, elective, and social activists.
In his speech on the occasion, Representative Al-Miqdad renewed his pledge to Messrs. Nasrallah and Wasfi al-Din to “keep the will and preserve the resistance,” stressing that “the testimony of the leaders does not mean defeat.” He pointed out that the resistance incubator, despite the attacks and the extent of destruction, is “ready to sacrifice no matter how high the costs,” pointing out that “the resistance axis is achieving victories in Yemen and Iran.”
Regarding the local issue, Al-Miqdad strongly criticized the framework agreement, calling on the state to withdraw from it and describing it as a “failure.” He believed that “it brought nothing but shame to the country and abandonment of Lebanon’s sovereignty and rights,” accusing the political authority of “conspiring against the resistance.”
The celebration concluded with the recitation of Hosseini’s condolences for the soul of the two martyred leaders.
