Beirut – “Lebanon Debate”
In the wake of the ongoing field escalation in southern Lebanon, a possible targeting incident almost occurred near the “Pure Chakra” pool, had it not been for the intervention of the “mechanical” coordination mechanism at the last moments. In detail, the Israeli army informed the “Mechanism” of the presence of armed men near the pond, threatening to target them. It later became clear that the people in question were fishermen, and they were informed and quickly removed from the place to avoid any danger.
This incident coincided with a massive military escalation, which included Israeli artillery shelling targeting the outskirts of the towns of Shaqra and Yater.
In a related context, the municipality of Deir Mimas issued a warning to the people, urging them not to go to the fields and olive groves at this time for security reasons, in conjunction with monitoring the advance of an Israeli force towards the southern side of the outskirts of the town and its positioning towards the olive groves.
