Beirut – The Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, focused on strengthening security measures in the capital and the vicinity of the Rafic Hariri International Airport road, stressing the importance of maintaining security, order and the safety of citizens, in addition to the need for strictness in controlling traffic violations and organizing traffic.
This came during a meeting held by Minister Al-Hajjar with the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, who briefed him on the package of measures taken on the field to stabilize stability.
In the service and regional context, Al-Hajjar held a series of meetings in his office at the Ministry, which included representatives: Amin Sheri, Faisal Al-Sayegh, and Walid Al-Baarini, where the general conditions, the affairs of their regions, and the life issues of concern to citizens were discussed.
The Minister of Interior also met with the Governor of Akkar, Imad Labaki, in the presence of a delegation from the governorate’s municipalities, and briefed them on the most prominent demands and development and service needs of the people of the region.
These meetings reflect the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to approach two basic files in parallel: They are to establish security, control the street, and follow up on the urgent needs of the local authorities and Lebanese regions.
