A woman and a truck driver were slightly injured following a traffic accident that occurred on the Qalamoun Highway towards Tripoli. In detail, the driver lost control of his truck, which led to it swerving and colliding with a car that was parked in front of the “Qamarin Bakeries” parking lot, with the injured woman inside.
Immediately, the Emergency and Relief Service teams came to the site of the accident, where they provided first aid to the two injured before transporting them to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
This accident comes amid continuing traffic accidents on Lebanese roads, as proven by statistics from the Traffic Control Room of the Internal Security Forces. On Thursday morning, September 24, it was reported that 7 traffic accidents had been recorded during the 24 hours preceding the accident, which resulted in the death of two people and the injury of 6 others, without this toll including injuries from the recent Qalamoun accident.
