The Vice President of the Free Patriotic Movement for Administrative Affairs, Ghassan Al-Khoury, responded to what was being discussed regarding the electricity file, based on a link from the “Lebanese Forces” website dating back to the year 2017, and dealing with the fact that the electricity production capacity in Lebanon has crossed the threshold of 2,200 megawatts.
Al-Khoury posted a link to the news on his account on the “X” platform, and wrote a comment in which he said: “Joe Saddi lies to the forces… This link is from the Lebanese Forces website in 2017. Even with lies I am shocked!!!”
Al-Khoury accompanied his post with a picture of the news published on the “Lebanese Forces” website on July 17, 2017, under the title: “Lebanon Electricity: The production capacity in Lebanon exceeded 2,200 megawatts for the first time.”
Al-Khoury’s response comes in the context of the ongoing political debate over the electricity file, amid the exchange of accusations between political forces regarding the reality of the sector and the causes of the crisis that Lebanon is suffering from.
