The Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament confirmed that Tehran will not abandon Hezbollah, stressing that his country will stand by it, and also vowed to target any American base from which operations against Iran are launched.
The Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament said that Hezbollah “stood by Iran,” adding: “We will not abandon it and we will stand by it.”
He pointed out that his country is working in accordance with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, stressing that it has one position and opinion regarding the war.
Regarding America, the Iranian official said that his country “will bomb any American base from which aggression against our country is launched,” warning of the repercussions of any attacks targeting Iran.
He added that Iran signed a memorandum of understanding and adhered to it, accusing US President Donald Trump of “breaking everything he pledged.”
These statements come in light of continuing tension between Tehran and Washington, amid disagreements related to security and military files, in addition to escalating debate over the role of Iran and Hezbollah in the region.
