The Union of Workers and Users of the Electricity of Lebanon

During its periodic meeting, the Lebanese Electricity Corporation and users congratulated the Council of Ministers on the appointment of the Authority for the Electricity Sector, “wishing the members of the commission success in their duties.
The union stated that “the Law on Regulating the Electricity Sector No. 462 issued in September 2002 needs to be an amendment to be compatible with the requirements, the current and upcoming stage, especially with regard to the rights of workers and users in the EDF.” The union asked the participating in all workshops, related to the amendment, as it is the first and basic concerned with the fate of the workers and their future. A treaty that “the watchful eye will remain on their rights, the permanence of their work and their gains that they deserved as a result of their dedication to the continuity of the public facility in all the difficult circumstances that the country has gone through.”
