The “Najma” team, last season’s runner-up and cup holder, began its journey in the 67th edition of the Lebanese General Football League with a valuable and well-deserved victory outside its rules, after defeating “Al-Ahly Brotherhood Aley”, which had recently returned to the senior league, with a score of two goals to none (2-0).
The match was held this afternoon at Amin Abdel Nour Municipal Stadium in Bhamdoun, at the opening of the tournament. Player Ibrahim Tumiwa scored the two goals of the match for Al-Najma in the 4th and 75th minutes, and the second goal came via a penalty kick (Banaleti).
