The Minister of Finance announces a 3%tax … who will pay it?

Finance Minister Yassin Jaber revealed the application of a new tax of 3% to importers and companies, noting that the aim is to organize commercial transactions and prevent tampering with fake companies that import large quantities of goods and then disappear.

The minister stated during an interview with the “Al -Jadeed” channel, that the new tax is similar to a value -added tax, but it is basically considered a deposit with the Tax Directorate. He added: “The application will be for all companies and importers, and each importer will have a financial number.”
