On the anniversary of the absence of Imam al -Sadr … a position for the President of the Republic

The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, affirmed, “Lebanon’s persistent commitment to follow up the issue of the absence of Imam Al -Sayyid Musa al -Sadr and his two companions Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoub and the journalist Abbas Badr al -Din and the failure to neglect the right of Lebanon to know the full truth, considering that the best we do in fulfillment of the absent Imam“ is to follow his approach to building a fair and unified Lebanon that embraces all of its sons and protects their dignity, Lebanon. ”
President Aoun’s position came on the forty -seventh anniversary of the absence of Imam al -Sadr and his two companions, and said: “Tomorrow the forty -seventh anniversary of the absence of Imam Al -Sayyid Musa al -Sadr and his two companions Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoub and the journalist Abbas Badr al -Din, and Lebanon passes in accurate circumstances how much we need the wisdom of the absent Imam and his national stances, because Imam al -Sadr was not just a cleric, but rather a symbol of national unity For the dialogue between religions and sects. “The multiplicity of sects is a blessing, but sectarianism is a curse.” He always said, “Most people are fanatic of sectarianism in Lebanon are the most distant from religiosity, they do not enter a mosque or a church.”
He continued: “Didn’t His Eminence say one day: We must preserve Lebanon as the homeland of religions and humanity and we must preserve it by generalizing real justice, which stipulates that if a segment of citizens exceed the rights of others, this transgression is considered a violation of Lebanon and itself.”
President Aoun concluded: “The absence of Imam al -Sadr since the year 1978 remains a wound that is mixed in the hearts of all the Lebanese, and the issue of justice has not yet been resolved. We confirm today, as every year, our steadfast commitment to follow up on this issue at all levels, and not to neglect the right of Lebanon to know the full truth. All its children embrace and protect their dignity, Lebanon, the message and civilization.
Let this day be a reflection and commitment station to Imam al -Sadr’s Semitic values, and let us all work for Lebanon befitting its sacrifices and dreams. We will not forget his screaming on the day many Lebanese were involved in what is not in their country when he said: “Justice before you search for your country in the dusty of history.”
