Tottenham snatches a fatal draw from Manchester United with ten players

Tottenham snatched an exciting draw (1-1) from its host, Manchester United, on Saturday evening at Old Trafford, in the sixth round of the English Premier League.

The scoreless draw dominated the first half, despite the visitors having a 58% advantage in possession compared to the home team’s 42%, as a result of which both sides were unable to translate their chances into goals.

On the Arab level, Egyptian star Omar Marmoush was on the bench before the technical staff brought him on in the 66th minute, replacing him with colleague Mohamed Qaddous.

In the second half, Brian Mbeumo succeeded in opening the scoring for Manchester United in the 73rd minute. Tottenham’s troubles did not stop there, as their mission was complicated by sending off player Rodrigo Bentancur with a red card after he tackled Luke Shaw, in an incident that caused clashes and skirmishes to break out between the players of the two teams.

Despite playing the match with an incomplete squad, Dominic Solanke was able to snatch the valuable equalizer for Tottenham in the second minute of stoppage time (90+2), depriving the “Red Devils” of the three points.

With this result, Tottenham raised its score to 3 points, occupying eighteenth place in the table, while Manchester United’s score reached 6 points, placing it in twelfth place.
