Representatives and representatives of the “sovereign front” parties held an emergency meeting in Ashrafieh in Beirut, where they discussed the statements of Qasim, which they described as “touched the limits of exposing Lebanon to civil war and stirring sectarian strife.” Their statement indicated that these statements came at a sensitive time in the history of Lebanon, in light of the efforts of the new government to end the state of armed volatile, which they considered a direct threat to the Lebanese people. Previously, the government’s decision to strip the party of its weapon may lead to a “civil war”, stressing the party’s readiness to fight a “battle” to preserve its weapon, describing the government decision that it violates the coexistence charter and exposes the country to a major crisis.
