“Lebanon Debate”

The Lebanese atmosphere is witnessing humid and moderate summer weather during this period, with temperatures remaining within their usual seasonal range, at a time when indications of limited weather changes appear in some areas at the beginning of the week, before the weather gradually returns to stability later, according to weather forecasts.

In this context, Wissam Abu Khashfa, head of the weather forecasting branch at Rafic Hariri International Airport, indicated in an interview with “Lebanon Debate” that the weather today will be partly cloudy with no significant change in temperature, with dense fog forming on the highlands as a result of high humidity, especially over the mountainous areas near the coast, which leads to a decline in visibility at times.

As for tomorrow, Monday, and the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, it is clear that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a slight drop in temperatures to become below their seasonal rates, amid a generally volatile atmosphere. It is also possible that some light rain will fall in the southern regions in the afternoon during these two days, while humidity will remain high on the coast, with dense fog continuing to form on the highlands, pointing out that the winds are active during this period, which calls for attention from sea lovers.

He adds that as of Wednesday, the weather is returning to stability, with temperatures remaining within their levels without a significant increase.

Regarding the expected temperatures, he explains that they are as follows: on the coast between 24 and 31 degrees, in the mountainous areas between 15 and 25 degrees, and in the Bekaa between 13 and 34 degrees.

Abu Khashfa stressed that the winds are southwesterly at a speed of between 15 and 35 km/h, while horizontal visibility ranges between medium and poor due to fog, and the humidity on the coast is very high, between 70 and 90%. The sea is generally wavy, with a water surface temperature estimated at about 26 degrees.
