The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, sent a cable of congratulations to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of the anniversary of the declaration of Algeria’s independence, stressing the depth of the fraternal and historical relations that bring together Lebanon and Algeria.
President Aoun said in his telegram: “I am pleased, on the occasion of the anniversary of the glorious Declaration of Independence, in my name and in the name of the Lebanese people, to extend to Your Excellency and to the brotherly Algerian people my warmest congratulations and sincere best wishes.”
He added: “As we recall this dear national occasion that embodies the sacrifices of the Algerian people for the sake of freedom and sovereignty, we affirm our pride in the historical fraternal relations that unite Lebanon and Algeria, and our firm keenness to strengthen and develop them in various fields, for the good of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.”
President Aoun concluded his telegram wishing President Tebboune good health and wellness, and Algeria continued progress and prosperity.
