In light of the increasing need for housing solutions that reduce the burdens on Lebanese families, the housing loan file has returned to the forefront through the portal of the Parliamentary Finance and Budget Committee, with a legislative step aimed at facilitating and accelerating the resolution of pending applications and opening the way for new families to benefit.

The Parliamentary Finance and Budget Committee, headed by Representative Ibrahim Kanaan, approved a proposal aimed at facilitating and accelerating the decision on housing loans for about 50,000 families.

The proposal, according to what was announced, also provides the opportunity for 1,000 new families to obtain housing loans.

This step gains its importance because it affects a basic social and livelihood file, directly related to the ability of families to secure housing, at a time when accelerating the decision on loans constitutes a crucial element for thousands of awaiting applications.
