The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that an interim leadership council is currently taking control of the country, and stressed that the work of all government institutions is proceeding legally and normally, and that the internal situation is stable.

In a related context, the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated to Al-Arabiya channel that Tehran “was not the one who started the war,” considering that this war was “imposed on it.”

The Foreign Ministry stated that Iran only targets American military bases and assets in the region, stressing the accuracy of the strikes it carries out against military targets, specifically the sites used by American forces or those attacking Iran.

In another context, the Iranian Foreign Ministry denied the accusations directed against it regarding attacking Saudi Arabia, describing them as “mere accusations,” and stressed that Iran is committed to defending itself only and does not carry out any attacks on neighboring countries, while emphasizing its interest in achieving collective security in the region, and stressing its readiness to extend the hand of friendship to all countries of the region.

Regarding the diplomatic aspect, the Iranian Foreign Ministry indicated that the negotiations were progressing positively before the outbreak of war, holding the United States responsible for the failure of these negotiations.

In response to an inquiry about the possibility of holding negotiations at the present time, the Foreign Ministry explained that Iran’s focus is currently on defending itself. She also stressed that the American people “have nothing to do with this war.”
