The supercomputer “BettingLounge” presented its predictions for the results of all the knockout round matches in the Champions League, after the round of 16 draw was held, and also revealed its vision of what the rest of the competitions will lead to.
The draw that was held last Friday produced strong matches scheduled to be held next March, the most prominent of which are: Real Madrid (Spain) vs. Manchester City (England), Bodo/Glimt (Norway) vs. Sporting Lisbon (Portugal), Paris Saint-Germain (France) vs. Chelsea (England), Newcastle United (England) vs. Barcelona (Spain), Galatasaray (Turkey) vs. Liverpool (England), Atletico Madrid (Spain) vs. Tottenham (England), Atalanta (Italy) vs. Bayern Munich (Germany), Bayer Leverkusen (Germany) vs. Arsenal (England).
Supercomputer predictions:
The BettingLounge supercomputer analyzed the data and simulated the knockout stage 10,000 times, all the way to determining which team will lift the championship trophy at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on May 30.
Round of 16 (aggregate results):
According to supercomputer calculations, Manchester City will succeed in eliminating Real Madrid from the tournament in the round of 16.
In other matches, Chelsea will defeat Paris Saint-Germain with a score of (4-3) on aggregate.
While Barcelona will defeat Newcastle United.
As for Tottenham, who are suffering at the bottom of the English Premier League, they will leave the Champions League after losing to Atletico Madrid with a score of (2-3) on aggregate.
The computer also predicted that Bayern Munich and Arsenal would achieve a landslide victory over Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen, respectively, with a score of (5-1) on aggregate.
Quarter-finals (aggregate results):
In the quarter-final matches, the computer predicted an exciting confrontation between Liverpool and Chelsea, which would be decided by penalty kicks in favor of the “Reds.”
Manchester City, under the leadership of its Spanish coach Guardiola, suffered a defeat against its former German team, Bayern Munich, with a score of (2-3) in the aggregate of the two matches.
While Barcelona will win over Atletico Madrid in an exciting match with a score of (5-3).
The computer also predicted that Arsenal would win over Sporting Lisbon (6-2) on aggregate.
Semi-finals (aggregate results):
The computer predicted that Liverpool, the six-time European champion, would not be able to reach the 2026 Champions League final, as it would lose to Bayern Munich (2-4) on aggregate.
On the other hand, Arsenal will achieve a major victory over Barcelona with a score of (4-1).
Final:
In its predictions for the final, the supercomputer said: “Sorry, Arsenal fans, more disappointments await you,” as the Gunners are expected to lose on penalties to Bayern Munich, led by Harry Kane, at the end of May.
