The State of Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the continued attacks by the Houthi group on a number of regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially targeting the city of Riyadh with two ballistic missiles, considering that these actions represent a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, a blatant disregard for the lives of civilians, and a clear violation of the rules of international law.
In a statement issued by it, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Doha’s categorical rejection of all attacks targeting civilians and civilian objects, stressing the need to immediately stop these hostilities.
The Ministry affirmed the State of Qatar’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and that it stands by it in all the legitimate measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity and interests.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded its statement by emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the State of Qatar and the collective security system of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
