low "Black Sea" He tightens his grip...scattered rain today and warnings of torrential floods tomorrow!

Today, Lebanon is under the influence of a cold depression that is gradually creeping over the Black Sea, imposing a cloudy autumn scene, interspersed with scattered rain and wide relief. This atmospheric expansion is accompanied by a slight drop in temperatures along the coastal strip and mountain highlands, where dense fog imposes its usual siege on the peaks and slopes, reducing visibility levels and adding a dramatic character to the general scene.

In the details of the heat map, the capital Beirut records rates ranging between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius, close to Tripoli, where the numbers range between 17 and 23 degrees, while the atmosphere tends to be noticeably cold in the interior, where Zahle records between 11 and 22 degrees. The highlands take on an early winter character, as the temperature does not exceed 15 degrees in Qurtuba and 18 degrees in Baysour. This weather forecast is completed by southwesterly winds that activate at intervals reaching speeds of 35 kilometers per hour, amid stifling coastal humidity that sometimes ranges between 55 and 80 percent, and a sea with choppy waves whose surface water temperature reaches 25 degrees Celsius.

However, these volatile conditions are only a prelude to a more powerful storm that will hit the country tomorrow, Friday, as temperatures fall below their normal seasonal levels. The sky is covered with dark clouds that unload with extremely heavy rain, accompanied by successive lightning flashes, thunderstorms, and active winds, which prompted the Meteorological Department to issue serious warnings of the danger of torrential floods forming on the roads, especially during the evening periods. It does not seem that the weekend will bring any relief, as the stormy and rainy weather continues strongly throughout Saturday, recording an additional decline in temperature levels, with heavy precipitation and thunderstorms concentrated in areas of southern Lebanon.
