The launch of the Bosphorus Summit with official Lebanese participation, represented by Jaber, carrying the national agenda and priorities

The Minister of Finance, Yassine Jaber, left the capital, Beirut, heading to Istanbul to represent the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, in the work of the seventeenth edition of the Bosphorus Summit, which will be held on November 5 and 6, 2026 under the slogan “Global Transformation and the Search for Stability,” where the Lebanese delegation carries a comprehensive vision focusing on issues of sovereignty, reform, recovery, and reconstruction.

Minister Jaber is scheduled to speak on two main occasions during the summit activities: On Thursday, he delivers the official speech on behalf of the President of the Republic at the opening session, reviewing Lebanon’s strategy for achieving stability based on strengthening state sovereignty, restoring confidence through radical reforms, and transforming recovery and reconstruction plans into real opportunities for growth and job creation, in addition to emphasizing the depth and strength of bilateral cooperation between Lebanon and Turkey.

The next day, Friday, Jaber delivers a speech in his capacity as Minister of Finance during a session dedicated to discussing the “global financial system,” where he highlights the priorities of financial and reform policy in Lebanon, and the necessity of directing international financing towards concrete development projects, in addition to highlighting the role of regional integration in accelerating the path of economic recovery.

The summit gains strategic importance due to the participation of an elite group of heads of state and government, ministers, experts and representatives of the private sector, which provides a vital platform for Lebanon to present its economic and financial priorities to international partners, amid the acceleration witnessed by global economic transformations and the challenges facing achieving the desired stability.

On the media level, the Media Office of the Ministry of Finance announced that the Ministry’s official digital platform, “Voice of Finance,” will undertake the direct transmission of Minister Jaber’s speech on behalf of the President of the Republic on Thursday, as well as his ministerial speech on Friday, through the various official Ministry accounts on social media platforms.

Lebanon’s participation in this international forum is very significant, in conjunction with the Lebanese government attaching utmost importance to financial reform files, restoring market confidence, moving the wheel of investment, and reconstruction, which are the files that will top the agenda of Lebanese meetings and interventions throughout the period of the summit in Istanbul.
