Huawei is preparing to strengthen its position in the wearable health devices sector by launching its upcoming smart watch, “Watch D3”. The new watch focuses on measuring blood pressure and monitoring vital signs accurately, in an effort aimed at integrating the functions of traditional smart watches with medical care tools.
The watch’s working mechanism relies on the technology of measuring blood pressure via an inflatable bracelet, which allows users to take measurements directly from the wrist and instantly, dispensing with separate traditional devices.
The watch also provides the ability to track blood pressure readings around the clock, in addition to a number of other health functions that help the user monitor any urgent changes in his vital indicators, with the ability to easily share these results with the treating physician when needed.
This step comes in response to the continued growth in demand for wearable devices that provide easy solutions for daily health monitoring. However, the concerned authorities confirm that the measurements provided by smart watches do not replace the need for specialized medical evaluation, especially for individuals suffering from high blood pressure.
