Aoun condemns the attacks on Saudi Arabia: The Kingdom’s security is an integral part of the stability of the region

The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, renewed Lebanon’s firm position in full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, strongly condemning the repeated attacks that targeted the Kingdom’s lands, air facilities, and vital installations, at the forefront of which is King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

President Aoun stressed, in statements issued following the attacks that targeted the Kingdom in recent days amid rapid security developments in the region, that these hostile actions constitute a direct threat to the security and stability of Saudi Arabia, in addition to their serious repercussions on the security of the entire region.

The President of the Republic stressed Lebanon’s decisive support for the Kingdom’s leadership and people in the face of everything that might undermine its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its lands and vital facilities, considering that Saudi Arabia’s security represents “an integral part of the region’s security and stability.”

Aoun pointed out that respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, and refraining from targeting civilian and vital installations, constitute a basic foundation for maintaining regional stability. He also reaffirmed the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries, and Beirut’s keenness to strengthen them in a way that serves the interests of the two peoples and the region.
